Pea Corn Salsa Sandwich Recipe - Made with Nourish Sooji

Ditch the bread! This sandwich base is made of healthy sooji and stuffed with some flavourful veggies.To make this yummy sandwich recipe you’ll need:

  1.  2 cup sooji
  2. 1 tablespoon sugar
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. ½ cup curd
  5. 2-3 tablespoon oil
  6. 1 cup sweet corn boiled
  7. 1 cup boiled peas
  8. 1 cup chopped cabbage
  9. 1 cup chopped capsicum
  10. 1 cup chopped onion
  11. 2 cups tomato puree
  12. Lal mirch powder ( as required)
  13. Zeera ( as required)
  14. Asafetida ( a pinch)
  15. Eno ( 1 packet)
  16. Chopped dhaniya ( as required)
  17. Water (as required)


  1.  Firstly put sooji in a bowl. Mix curd, eno and sugar and salt as required to this. Mix it well.
  2. Add some water to dilute it to a paste like consistency.
  3. Take a plate and grease it with oil. Now pour and spread the sooji batter onto this plate.
  4. Leave aside for 20 minutes.
  5. Next in a pan sauté the vegetables in some oil and spices.
  6. To these sauté vegetables add boiled corn and peas
  7. Once done, remove the vegetable to a bowl.
  8. The previously set aside batter would by now take fluffy bread like texture.
  9. Cut these in triangles and then to this base add the veggie mix.
  10. In a pan, pour some oil and then add zeera and rai. Add a pinch of asafetida as well and some red chili powder.
  11. Once the zeera starts to splutter, add 2 tablespoons of tomato puree.
  12. Now to this mix, put the made sandwich and then fry from both sides.
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander. “
