Ditch the bread! This sandwich base is made of healthy sooji and stuffed with some flavourful veggies.To make this yummy sandwich recipe you’ll need:
- Â 2 cup sooji
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt as per taste
- ½ cup curd
- 2-3 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup sweet corn boiled
- 1 cup boiled peas
- 1 cup chopped cabbage
- 1 cup chopped capsicum
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups tomato puree
- Lal mirch powder ( as required)
- Zeera ( as required)
- Asafetida ( a pinch)
- Eno ( 1 packet)
- Chopped dhaniya ( as required)
- Water (as required)
Method:
- Â Firstly put sooji in a bowl. Mix curd, eno and sugar and salt as required to this. Mix it well.
- Add some water to dilute it to a paste like consistency.
- Take a plate and grease it with oil. Now pour and spread the sooji batter onto this plate.
- Leave aside for 20 minutes.
- Next in a pan sauté the vegetables in some oil and spices.
- To these sauté vegetables add boiled corn and peas
- Once done, remove the vegetable to a bowl.
- The previously set aside batter would by now take fluffy bread like texture.
- Cut these in triangles and then to this base add the veggie mix.
- In a pan, pour some oil and then add zeera and rai. Add a pinch of asafetida as well and some red chili powder.
- Once the zeera starts to splutter, add 2 tablespoons of tomato puree.
- Now to this mix, put the made sandwich and then fry from both sides.
- Garnish with chopped coriander. “
