With subtle smoky flavors and creaminess of cooked lentils #DalMakhani​ is an authentic Punjabi cuisine quite popular in northern India.
You’ll need:
1. Sabut urad daal andRajma(pressure cooked)
2. Fresh Cream
3. Butter
4. Onions chopped
5. Green chillies chopped
6. Tomatoes puree
7. Sabut Jeera handful
8. Zeera powder
9. Corainder powder
10. Ginger-garlic paste
Method:
1. Soak sabut urad dal and rajma overnight
2. In a pressure cooker, combine dal and rajma and cook
3. In a seperate pan, pour some oil and add zeera. Once it splutters add the onions
4. Fry the onions untill golden brown
5. Add the tomato puree and and ginger garlic paste cook untill oil starts leaving from tomatoes
6. Next, add the salt, some red chilli powder, zeera powder, jeera, coriander powder
7. Mix it well and let it cook for a while
8. Once it has cooked, add the cooked dal and rajma. Let this boil for about 5-10 minutes
9. Now add some cream and let it cook for about 10 more minutes
10. Add a dollop of butter
Serve with naan or tandoori roti
